One Croydon Art Print
Product Details
To me this looks like a lego building, a jigsaw puzzle with pieces locking together in place.
Love it or hate it- this one cannot be missed, especially every time you whizz through Croydon on the overground. It occupies a busy roundabout that links the centre of Croydon with the suburbs. The influence of Le Corbusier evident. Each floor’s elongated octagon has a letterbox window on the exposed ends, every one sticking out like a mini Falling Water, rejoicing in the dramatic effect of its cantilever.
‘Croydon makes sense as a town to be approached by jetpack, where paranoid androids hum early Human League songs in the underpasses and flying saucers land on top of shopping centres…‘ - John Grindrod, author of Concretopia
