A di GAETA - Unconventional Atelier
A di GAETA is a Milanese atelier where beauty and functionality come together to create extremely versatile footwear products. A design that is constantly renewed, giving voice to a new creativity, helping women find the right balance between desire and need.
Angelica di Gaeta, Founder and Creative Director of the brand, merged her studies in product design at Central Saint Martins and her 13 year experience in luxury footwear to develop her own concept of 'shoe tailoring’ - customizable designs that meet the lifestyle and needs of the modern woman.
The first collection was launched at the end of the year 2020, to send a message of rebirth and positivity after a year that made everyone question many certainties and see life from a different perspective.
Workers are paid a living wage; no child labour or human trafficking is involved in the production of the collection; the factory is compliant with all local environmental regulations.
Hides or textiles in this collection are sourced as a by-product of the food industry, population control of wild animals, and/or free-range farming.
No parabens, sulfates, petroleum, mineral oil, phthalates, micro-plastics or synthetic fragrances are used in any of the products in this collection.
This collection is entirely made in the designer’s studio and/or by an artisan collective of fewer than 10 people.
This collection has been produced on a small scale, with environmentally sensitive production methods; the constituent materials have been sourced sustainably, and conserve biodiversity.
