Coulange
Maison Coulange was founded in France in 1918 and relaunched by its current owners. The house works from military and workwear archives - field jackets, saharienne jackets, parkas, capes - and reworks them for the way people dress now.
Every piece is made by hand in our own atelier in France. Patterns are cut in house and garments assembled in house, which is what lets us guarantee them for life: a Coulange piece is repaired, not replaced.
We build in long-staple cotton, linen and wool, chosen for how they age rather than how they photograph. Small series, often numbered, rarely repeated.
