Daydress is a small British womenswear label designing beautiful hand block-printed cotton dresses, skirts and tops. Founder, Gabby Deeming, has a background as a creative director for interiors and her love of historic patterned textiles inspires many of the original Daydress prints. We work with a small group of block-printers in Jaipur, India and our small stitching unit is located close by. Much of our cloth is specially commissioned khadi hand-loomed cotton or silk from Madhya Pradesh and Bengal. This means with many of our dresses, we can trace the production journey in a few short steps. Our garments are hand-cut, beautifully lined in cotton and with no over-locking. We take great care with all details from the printing to the cutting, stitching and the pattern placement.
