Four Ways To Incorporate Tarot Into Your Life

by Marta Ripoll

Tarot cards are coming back and we’re here for it. In a fast-paced world where we’re constantly disconnected from ourselves because of the digital sphere, there has been an increasing need to find ways to re-connect with our minds.

For those of you who are not familiar with the matter, tarot consist of a deck with several cards full of magical symbolism and imagery that can be used to provide guidance and anticipation for the future. Tarot can be used to help follow your intuition wisely and inspire you to be your best. And whether you believe in universe’s rules or not, there are ways to incorporate tarot practices to help you in your day to day life.

Practice meditation & mindfulness

Contrary to popular belief, tarot cards will not state your future. You can use tarot cards to bring out your inner wisdom that will help you to manifest and achieve your goals. And what a better way to do it than through meditation or mindfulness. Although you can start meditating through embodying a card, you can also try to have sessions without the cards and slowly work towards incorporating them. Once you are familiar with the techniques, you will be able to draw a card from the deck and think about it, feeling it’s energy and how you feel about its symbolism.

Begin journaling

Tarot cards are characterised by their imagery and symbolism. Journaling can be the best way of emphasising the artistic side of the cards that’s also attached to you. Let yourself flow, write down your thoughts or even draw your take on what’s depicted in a random card you choose. It’s another way to find a space for a slow-paced moment in your day to unlock your feelings.

Digging into the deck

As we have already said, tarot is not a definite script of your future self. For those of you who want to delve deeper into this world, it’s a tool. A tool to navigate through your mind, to express yourself, to reconnect... To fall deeply rooted into tarot’s branches, you can again draw a random card from the deck at the beginning of the day to see what it tells you energy-wise. At the end of the day think about how it has helped you consciously or unconsciously in the decisions or situations you have experienced.

Keep an amulet with you

Tarot elements are such a great way to tangibly manifest many kinds of energy. By having a tarot-themed amulet with you, you’ll have something physical you can hold on to. It will be a talisman to ground you from difficult situations.

As you can see, incorporating some tarot practices in your day-to-day life doesn’t have to be a lengthy process and it will help you disconnect from the digitalised life. You can choose how deep you want to go with this magic world: there are more intense Tarot-driven methods and more just auto-reconnection processes. Either way, the tarot is here to stay, and we hope this helped you to understand the matter and the benefits you can draw from it.
