Susanne Klevorick

Susanne is a native New Yorker who grew up surrounded by the linear nature of the skyscrapers that form her city. She is an alumnus of the Fashion industry and refocused her creative energy from apparel to the designing of jewelry in 2014. Her inspiration, drawn from the Modernist movement in architecture, and her minimalist sensibility lead to the sculptural forms that become her jewelry. Angles and curves are incorporated into her designs and there is a solidity to her pieces. Her love of pearls, and their use in many of her pieces, add an element of softness to her work. Most of Susanne's designs are hand carved in wax first, as if they are sculpture, and then cast into various metals here in NYC. Precise hand finishing, and attention to detail, make each piece a work of wearable art.
