Yuka, meaning ‘above’ in Turkish is a jewellery brand celebrating creativity and individuality. Derived from the belief that jewellery is the most powerful yet underrated means of communication, the brand crafts a unique range of pieces that aim to create a talking point. The story of the how the brand came to be is one of evolution. With creativity running through her veins, founder Guliz had always experimented with jewellery making as a hobby. Her endless imagination and desire to push herself to the next level resulted in her taking the plunge, breaking away from a job as creative art director and embarking on a metalsmith journey. Conceived in 2009, YUKA unites traditional jewellery making techniques with modern wax modelling that results in the perfect range of demi-fine jewellery for everyday wear. The whole collection is designed and hand crafted in a small studio nestled in the rolling hills of Istanbul. Inspiration is drawn from the beauty of the flora and fauna of her natural surroundings. From pure gemstones to vibrant botanicals, her appetite for excellence means she always utilises the finest quality materials.
