This black and white, graphic illustration of a fish swimming upstream in a graphic line pattern is inspired by Scandinavian design, and the beautiful shapes of fish, whether they are swimming in the sea or appearing as a symbolic motif in art and astrology. The fish has many symbolical meanings across different cultures: from life itself, to prosperity, curiosity, freedom and strength, courage, patience, and success through perseverance, among many others. The artist has long been fascinated by these beautiful sea creatures, encountered in real life or in art.
