Stunning, high quality Ethiopian Welo Opal's have amazing electric gold, green, blue, and purple flash. Completely raw and natural, these one of a kind beauty is hand set into .925 Sterling Silver. Each ring is one of a kind and will vary slightly in size and color.

Ethiopian opals originate from volcanic activity, and is called “hydrophane opal." The term hydrophane comes from the Greek term meaning “water-loving” and describes their ability to absorb water and change from opaque or semi-translucent to translucent or transparent. If your opals are soaked in water it will temporarily lose its flash and color until dried out again. Opal is a stone of inspiration which enhances imagination and creativity.

Remove when swimming or washing hands as these Opals are porous and will cause the stone to temporarily lose it's fire until it sufficiently dries out.
