To maintain its quality, it's essential to follow proper care guidelines. Machine or hand wash cotton sateen at a temperature of 40°C (104°F) using a gentle detergent. Avoid using bleach. Separate light and dark colours to prevent dye transfer. When drying, use a low heat setting on the dryer and remove the items while they are still slightly damp to minimize wrinkling. If you prefer to line dry, do so in an area away from direct sunlight to prevent fading. For a crisp finish, iron on a low setting if needed. These steps help preserve the fabric's smooth texture and enhance its longevity.
