Gold plating is a surface finish and may wear over time. This is considered normal wear and tear rather than a defect. When your jewellery is not being worn, store your jewellery in a box or zip lock bag as this will prevent scratches and tarnishing. Also, avoid wearing your jewellery when showering, swimming or applying perfumes and lotions.
