Leicester based Designer-Maker Caitlin Gregory-Thomas studied and graduated at the Birmingham School Of Jewellery.
She creates figurative, yet abstract, wearable pieces of jewellery with conceptual beginnings. She harmonises traditional techniques with modern methods and prefer hand-building techniques over machine-lead design. My pieces have organic aspects, often representing figurative forms that derive from nature. Her collection 'Lavish' is inspired by a combination of inspirations taken from the beautiful formation of stalactites. Each piece is carefully crafted and adapted to emulate the organic nature of cave formations and stalactites. Gemstones used have been cast in place to preserve the organic nature of the pieces.
