In the late summer of 2019, our Swedish founder discovered a collection of letters authored by his ancestor Mr Gerhard von Yhlen – nobleman, painter and arctic explorer. In one of the letters, dated in November 1863, Mr von Yhlen describes his enduring desire to travel down the continent to tailor ”en rökrock af siden”, a silk robe.
 Inspired by Mr von Yhlen’s elegant undertaking, we decided to create the world’s most luxurious collection of homewear and house garments. All our silk robes are handcrafted in small atelier in Northern Italy. Always using the world's finest silk, woven in the city of Como, where the art of silk weaving has been perfected for more than five centuries.
