London Shop Signs Risograph Print

This risograph print has illustrations of some of the beautiful shop signs found in London. Included are some of London’s most historic shops, Turnbull & Asser (shirtmakers), John Lobb (shoemakers), Lock & Co (hatters) and James Smith & Sons (umbrellas). The signs for Bar Italia, Soho’s iconic café and Choosing Keeping, an exquisite stationery shop, also feature.

The design uses three risograph inks, red, black and metallic gold. It has been printed in Rosa & Clara Designs’ London studio, on 200gsm Fabriano Accademia paper.

Riso printing is an environmentally friendly printing process which uses soy-based inks and prints each colour as a separate layer. The nature - and charm - of the process means that there can be slight irregularities in the prints.
