Non-violent Silk or Peace Silk means that, unlike traditional methods, the silkworms survive the production of the silk because they are allowed to slip out of their cocoons. The hatched butterflies become part of the natural cycle and increase the biodiversity in the region. The Peace Silk is also produced under fair working conditions and does not use pesticides, fungicides or genetic engineering.
The Peace Silk is dyed or printed with GOTS-certified colors in India.
