A tulle dress needs very gentle care since tulle is delicate and can easily snag or lose its shape. It’s best to hand-wash it in cold water with a mild detergent, gently moving it without rubbing or twisting. If you must use a machine, choose a delicate cycle and place the dress in a mesh laundry bag. After washing, don’t wring it out—lightly press out excess water and let it air dry, preferably hanging so it keeps its shape. Avoid tumble drying and high heat. Tulle usually doesn’t need ironing, but if necessary, use very low heat or light steam, keeping some distance to avoid melting the fabric.
