Alpine Cashmere

Alpine Cashmere was established by Ames and Karen in Lexington, Massachusetts in 2002. Ames hails from an iconic textile family that began manufacturing in Massachusetts in 1813. He spent many years working in the mills, learning first-hand each part of the manufacturing process. Karen’s journey began as an editor in fine art publishing, working with some of the world’s most prominent photographers, designers, and artists. Her artistic vision drives the creative process for our company. We use only the finest, sustainably grown cashmere. All our pieces are made slowly and in small batches, often with hand finishing. We travel regularly to Inner Mongolia as part of our collaboration with the herders and their goats, and the artisans who make our cashmere.
