Kat Zarra was created in effort to combine my two great loves, silk and metal. The idea of jewelry infused lingerie was born one night after I dropped a few yards of slinky black silk charmeuse on my desk forever covered in a beautiful mess of gold jewelry. The look of the black silk intermingled with a chunky gold ring wrapped in flush set vibrant stones was like nothing i've ever seen.

The collection is adorned in hand casted solid brass hardware. I design all the hardware myself in my New York studio. I utilize a jewelry casting technique called lost wax casting to create my brass jewelry findings. This casting process is very common among jewelers, very uncommon among lingerie designers.

What sets the collection apart in a world saturated in fine silk underpinning and lacy little things is the semi precious metal and fine jewelry elements.
