The leather tanning process uses safe tanning reagents and dyes conforming with strict EU standards. It is aniline dyed through and milled to achieve the suppleness needed. The leather's durability gets better with time, it will just get softer and softer. Our resident chief tanner, master tanner Gaetano Scarlata, in the Philippines uses a special leather formulation - Timberland. It is a full grain cowhide leather, tanned following the strict Italian standards of leather tanning.
