Nu-Normal
Nu-Normal is a UK based independent business, founded by my partner Nicholas Wood and I during lockdown 2020. With my background in marketing and Nicky being a sculptor, we decided our combined skills would be put to good use in the new world of fashionable face masks. Since starting up in the beginning of May we have been constantly developing and updating our designs and ideas; our ever-growing, like-minded and dedicated team is also passionate about creating beautifully handmade face coverings. We aim to help in giving people and businesses the confidence to face the ‘new normal’, adding a little fun, style and professionalism along the way.
Workers are paid a living wage; no child labour or human trafficking is involved in the production of the collection; the factory is compliant with all local environmental regulations.
The products and constituent ingredients in this collection are not tested on animals.
This collection is entirely made in the designer’s studio and/or by an artisan collective of fewer than 10 people.
The products in this collection are made with at least 50% recycled or upcycled materials.
This collection has been made using at least 90% plant-based ingredients or materials.
At least 1% of this brand’s sales go to a charity partner.
This collection has been produced on a small scale, with environmentally sensitive production methods; the constituent materials have been sourced sustainably, and conserve biodiversity.
