The Halfmoon Clutch and Wristlet is 100% handmade in Bali by skilled artisans who have been practicing their trade of weaving for generations. This bag is made of sustainably sourced materials and with an ethical production process.
All of our items are handwoven by individual artisans. Due to the fact that each Halfmoon Clutch is handmade, the clutches may vary slightly from the online image. The woven pattern is unique to every bag, this is what makes each POPPY + SAGE bag such a special treasure knowing yours is truly one-of-a-kind!
Sustainability guarantees
Is the manufacturing process of your collection free from child labour and human trafficking, are all workers paid a living wage, and is the factory compliant with all local environmental regulations?
Is your collection made exclusively in your studio or by an artisan collective of fewer than 10 people? There should be a focus on preserving artisanal production methods and skilled workers in order to qualify.
Are all items in your collection made from at least 80% of material, textiles or ingredients from organic farming?
Are all items in your collection made with at least 90% plant-based ingredients or materials, e.g. tencel, cotton, hemp, modal, coconut, pineapple? (There can be NO leather or animals based products in your collection for you to receive this icon).
Is your collection manufactured on a small scale in an environmentally sensitive manner, from non-synthetic, sustainably sourced materials, ingredients or textiles e.g. beeswax, silk? (all must apply)
