The Queen’s Guard Socks
The Queen’s Guard Socks
We are excited to launch our very own, very first socks designed in-house. These new socks come hot on the heels of our previous 26 designs that were created through design and art led collaborations, most recently with celebrated artists and illustrators Michel Arnold, Yoni Alter and Marylou Faure.
Using a minimalist design and a calm, very on trend, camel color, we have chosen a more classic design, which complements our portfolio of bold and colourfully rich designs. Crafted from luxurious combed cotton, the socks feature the traditional British Queen’s Guard, who without doubt, take care of the most iconic individual in British history, Her Royal Majesty the Queen.
No tumble drying due to the nature of yarn used in the manufacture.

Meet The Designer
Look Mate adventure began life as two lists made by Vahan and his brother Vahagn in a London coffee shop. One was a list of people they wanted to work with, the other was a list of things they felt passionately about. In an unconventional twist on the normal business idea, they started by looking at products that would marry the two lists together and settled on what we now know as the distinctive Look Mate socks.
The aim behind Look Mate has always been to work with aspiring creatives to bring a product that cuts above the rest in delivering a high quality everyday item. The designs commissioned are by anyone from architects to visual artists. They are then produced by a father-daughter team incorporating quality into the company’s DNA from day one. Lastly, the socks are tested time and time again until perfection is reached.
The team at Look Mate may have started in an unusual way but their success has not been unusual at all, as the company deservedly goes from strength to strength, the result being a product that fulfills the brief as originally stated and one that the brothers are extremely proud of. In this short time Look Mate was featured in Design Museum and exhibited at Tokyo and London Fashion Week Men. The brand was featured in publications like Forbes, The Times and The Monocle to name few.
