The Barbican Launderette Art Print
Product Details
The Barbican Launderette on Fann Street in the City of London was opened in 1973. It not only served the 2,100 homes within the Barbican Estate, but was also essential for residents at the nearby YMCA building.
The Barbican Launderette has been owned by the same family since it opened, and is one of just 350 launderettes that remain in London. The lovely aqua washing machines contrasting against the orange walls are so unique to this particular laundromat, and is a favorite photo shoot location.
I enjoyed adding some bauhaus touches and the little Soapy duck vending machine, which is so retro cool.
This print makes an unexpected or quirky gift for a lover of London, a perfect addition to your gallery wall and a talking point.
