Here we focus on some of our brands who are making strides to embed sustainability throughout their business, using business for better.

Baukjen is a family-run B Corp determined to drive lasting positive change by becoming a leader in circular fashion through sustainable practices, recycling of garments and fabrics and giving back by donating to charities. The brand are proud members of the Sustainable Apparel Coalition and The Fashion Pact, and also donate at least 10% of their profits and clothes to charities including Smart Works, Women's Aid and Save the Children. 

blonde gone rogue ​​are a certified B Corp, integrating sustainable practices throughout their supply chain, opting for certified natural or deadstock fabrics. They’ve committed to sourcing sustainable trims and have partnered with an ambitious textile recycling project where the recycled fabric will match the quality of new fabric.The brand offset their greenhouse gas emissions through their Carbon/OFF campaign, of which all proceeds go to the Jari Pará REDD+ Avoided Unplanned Deforestation Project in the Amazon Rainforest - the forest that alone absorbs 20% of the world's CO2 emissions. 

With circularity, longevity and recycling at its core, Fanfare Label offers customers seasonless pieces made to be cherished. Made in ethical factories from organic and recycled natural materials. Even down to every thread, fibre and trim sustainability is considered. The brand also offer an upcycling initiative for none Fanfare Label products, through which unwanted clothes can be repaired and upcycled into new garments. So far, Fanfare Label have saved 500 metres of fabric, reducing the textile waste already in landfills. 

In Our Name assess the impact of materials, components, manufacturing, packaging, transport have on the environment to make purposeful decisions throughout their supply chain. They manufacture their products in Kenya, mentoring small manufacturers and artisans to adopt good environmental practices. Through the brand's 100% initiative, all of the profits generated from their handcrafted products are reinvested in small businesses in Africa to help them grow and to also provide them with a route to market. The artisans benefit from production, technical and business training as well as financial support to purchase raw materials and better tools.

Socks are the most disposed of item in our wardrobes but Teddy Locks are changing this. Their socks are knitted on green certified machines using fibres from recycled plastic bottles and upcycled textiles. The brand has earnt the Green America Certification  and is one of only 143 women-owned businesses in the United States to earn this accreditation.

Rozenbroek is a vegan fashion brand working to further conscious consumerism in everything they do. As a long time vegan and an environmentalist, the brand's founder, Jade Rozenbroek, not only designs the clothes but set up their very own factory in East Yorkshire which is run by solar energy. All of the machines, lighting and heat are produced by solar panels on the roof which harvest those ‘famous’ Yorkshire rays. All of their garments are designed in London and hand crafted in East Yorkshire, only using organic fabrics sourced as locally as possible. 

Aer are striving to eliminate single-use packaging, from kitchen cleaner to scented hand soap, all their products are designed to eliminate waste and inferior formulations from our daily routines. Aer comes from the Greek aer meaning air (oxygen), referring to the fact that they ship a few grams of powder compared to kilos of liquid, resulting in 95% less carbon emissions per shipment.

Solana espadrilles are handcrafted in Spain at a family-run atelier where the true espadrille heritage is still preserved. Solana is a PETA-Approved Vegan brand and uses earth-friendly materials whenever possible. Our commitment to using sustainable materials is shown through our use of 100% recycled fabrics, natural jute soles and cording, natural dyes, and outsoles made with recycled ocean plastics.
